Adobe Walls Once a Spanish trading post in the 1800s, Adobe Walls is now listed on the National Register of Historic Places. A number of battles were fought in the area during the 1800s and in 1923, the Panhandle-Plains Historical Society acquired some of the land and promptly made it a historic site.
